GREAT HOMER STREET, LIVERPOOL |
||||
A major facelift for north Liverpool is on the way, with the £150M re-development of the Great Homer Street area. In response to a clear need from the local community, Liverpool City Council appointed St. Modwen Developments Ltd as their partner in the regeneration. St Modwen have a great deal of experience in developing town centre and brownfield sites, making them an ideal choice for the development of this 45 acre site. Consultations with local businesses and residents under the banner of 'The Project Jennifer Community Forum' produced a masterplan which then evolved into the planning application. The stunning flagship scheme will create new heart for the area, and work is due to start early in 2009. The scheme will compliment other regenerations projects in the area such as The Hargreves Centre - a new home for the NSPCC, and City Point - a new 5 storey office block from Oscar developments. |
